Alle18 Feb 2004 Ok, the new guestbook wirten by 'moi' is not open :) Enjoy!Alle18 Feb 2004 It would actually be pretty good if you can use this area for some feedback as well - The MP3/VIP Vault is not very far developed right now, however an ASP/.NET coder is currently working on the new front- and backend design. So hopefully we'll have a new improved vault within a week or two :)
Best,
AlexMrGoodbytes18 Feb 2004 Hey, nice guestbook Alle! Pretty fancy :)
Beats my html skills :p.Karoliina18 Feb 2004 Karoliina was here and did download few songs :).
http://www.karoliinasalminen.comIsupoff18 Feb 2004 Hello! I suppose you, Alexander and Andreas, would be pleased if i'll tell that your brilliant music is known in Siberia situated in Russia (please don't mess it with non-existent "Cyberia", a-ha!) . I think "Emotions" is one of the most melodic, mysterious and vigorous piece i've ever heard. Magic! I wish you became as widely-known as possible at our small planet :-) Now I'm testing just-downloade unicorn...Well, it's right for night city driving :-)...
O.K. I thank you kindly!klas19 Feb 2004 I just wanted to say "thank you for the music" ! :)
I am using it mainly when working (system developer), I am sitting in an open office environment and it is really good to put on my headphones and turn up the music while programming - it really gets' you "in the zone" :)

I just tested Server #1 and it works fine for me - Ping responses may be a bit slow from time to time due to higher serverload.

AlexAlex27 Feb 2004 If you susspect that Server #1 is offline - try the following to verify your connection to that server.
(Works in WinXP)
Press [ START ] -> RUN...
Type CMD - Press ENTER
in the Commandprompt - Enter:
ping trancecontrol.dyndns.org
if you get a ping response then there really shouldn't be a problem with the connection. If this still doesn't work - e-mail me to alex@trancecontrol.com and I'll be all over it.

Alex1 Mar 2004 For now the Server #1 machine is only a PII 400 running a regular sql, php, web & ftp server. I'm currently looking for various uptions to upgrade the machine so that it better will handle multiple transfers.
As things are today it doesn't seem very capable of handeling larger number of simultaneous downloads and the user ends up with an error message. However, bare with me on this one as I'm trying my best to find feasable solutions.

......t[]c is best of best.......Deepsnow1 Mar 2004 Hi, I guess we are all having to visit your site for the MP3's since the death of MP3.com. I have been getting mostly "HTTP 403.9 - Access Forbidden: Too many users are connected" all day. Did manage to get a few great tracks. Don't mind the slow download, but would like to at least be connected. Any other sites where you have these tracks located?Alex1 Mar 2004 Trying to configure the IIS max connections setting but can't seem to find it - will most likely install an Apache HTTP server or similar during the night that hopefully will enable me to boost the maximum connections allowed.

Trance[]Contorl ROCKS!Summer658 Mar 2004 Peak Time. Thanks for the great melodic trance. I love the suspense in the intro to Peak Time - and the dark flavorings. Your subtle accents the first two minutes are well done / well placed. The melodic lines you bring in next are a great contrast to the intro and then you lay then together the second half of the song which moves the song up another level. are you ever going to put up a high quality version of Phazes Reality [09-05-2000] because I am enthralled with this track that I've had forever, and I was hoping it didn't get lost in the studio robbing incident, because this track is one of your best and blows my mind.A Vault member (name not kept)5 Jun 2004 Sixtoes21: Well, last time I checked the MP3 Vault is still free... However, for those who WHISH to fully support us and also get access to additional stuff, we offer the VIP Service. Please have in mind that bandwidth, servers & so on actually cost money for us.

dj substance [9x]A Vault member (name not kept)6 Jun 2004 Recently... i've been seeing posts that I have never done as far as i know... is there something funny going on, how can there be more than one DJFREAQ, because it said I made some posts that I don't ever remember posting (comments on songs like Bring out the Dead) .... Alle...... i'm scaredA Vault member (name not kept)6 Jun 2004 The same thing happened to me. I was on a review for Hörapparat, and it said "DJ Bluey." At first, I was like, "oh no, you so did not just steal my name!" But then I clicked on the name, and the user was someone named RuM. The same thing happened on another comment page where other people were like "I didn't post these messages." So I think it's just some error where the posts say that they are by the name you are signed on as. Weird...A Vault member (name not kept)6 Jun 2004 Oh gee... I really need to look into thiese things - can you guys please send me an e-mail about the errors?

Second, my birthday is on April, 3, and, according to every random profile I check, so is everyone elses. Turns out my birthday isn't the same as yours Alle :p. Maybe that's a problem you wanna look into though. Maybe it's just my comp.
LaterA Vault member (name not kept)9 Jun 2004 MrGoodbytes: The birth dates where automaticly set to the date of the day when the tables where updated. Pretty stupid but that's what happened. So mainly the birthdates of the users you found have not been updated by respective users.A Vault member (name not kept)9 Jun 2004 Wierd though, every date I've been looking @ says XXXX-10-5, better get a look @ that :) Thanks for the hintA Vault member (name not kept)9 Jun 2004 Birth dates should be fixed now :) The MM-DD where taken from the loged in persons profile :)A Vault member (name not kept)9 Jun 2004 Great, I was also wondering why everyone shared my birthday ;)A Vault member (name not kept)11 Jun 2004 Hey Alle, I was just wondering. I have managed to get quite a few people into your music, and they all love it too.. I had 2 hard drives go down within a week of each other (1 being the backup of the other, of course) so I lost all my Trance[]Control stuff, so I am having to re-download it all again. Have you switched some of the stuff to the VIP vault(the 2 live sets for example.? If so I may have to consider joining!

About this capsule
Alexander wrote the guestbook for the MP3/VIP Vault, the members' area of trancecontrol.com where listeners downloaded the band's music, and opened it in February 2004. By the autumn its address sent visitors who were not logged in to the Vault's front door ("Restricted Area"), and that is all the Internet Archive ever captured of it: the Vault in June 2004. This capsule is read from the guestbook's table in the site database's own backup, kept in the band's server backup of 25 August 2024, so it holds every entry up to 14 July 2004.
It is read-only. Each entry shows the name typed into the guestbook's name field, as it was typed. Entries that logged-in members wrote without one stored only a member number; the member register is not in the backup and is not used, so they appear without a name. E-mail addresses, phone numbers and IP addresses that visitors wrote are hidden and marked. The messages members left for each other on their "My Page", kept in the same table, are not shown. The band's forum of the same years is here.
