Mel David3 Oct 2003, 05:41 May I just suggest to all you music artists out there making mp3s available for download to edit the mp3 tags of your track. It just makes organising them in my music library a LOT easier.
Here are the most important tags that should be filled in an mp3 file:
Name: track title
Artist: artist name
Composer: composer's name
Album: album name
Comments: comments, url addresses, anything
Genre: music genre
BPM: track tempo
Year: year recorded
Yeah, that's all thank you. Now it's time for a :cheesburger:
:)DjDaed3 Oct 2003, 17:09 That is a great idea, that way if you are spinning them, it would help out with the mixing of the tracks. Good thinking Mel!David McGowan3 Oct 2003, 17:40 I was under the impression everyone already does this ? i know i do, and most of the reviews ive given i havent noticed any missing ID3 tags, as far as song title and name goes. but i guess even i am guilty of not putting every scrap of info down. adding BMP definately would help missing , except most mp3 spinners nowadays , have autobpm matching so..DjDaed3 Oct 2003, 18:02 True, but I find it more fun to mix my MP3's without auto beat matching. Just makes me fell better about my music.Lithius8 Oct 2003, 06:22 I'm going to type this thread really fast withous pressing backspace NOW
auto beatbathching is pretty cool although it does kinda make it a little plain to perform the music ... you know, you'd rather be all hand on and stuff mixuing it yourself. Atlthough auto bpm is really good if you know how to use it skillfully .
I haven not put any tags on my mp3s!! lol ... it is a good idea isn't it ... looks like I'll be doin that ...Alle14 Oct 2003, 03:31 ...
