Lithius3 Oct 2003, 00:07 Oooohhh look new smilies! :woot:
So I just made a hard dance track!! It rocks! I made this in about 4 hours and it turned out goooood. But I've never made actual real trance before except for Revolution, which was kinda weak anyways (the new version's pretty tight). So anyways, here it is! What do you think of it??

This track was made in FL Studio 4, behold the power!! (For all you con-FL people out there ;))Lithius3 Oct 2003, 00:09 Oh BTW - it's not completely finished (needs more mastering done and stuff) so comments will be seriously considered!David McGowan3 Oct 2003, 01:02 Listening now.
Ahh the gated reverd clap, this might become a cliche.
Nice 303, panned hi hat , another t[]c trade mark. synth sounds nice.
breakdown was good.
There is this ping pong sounding synth i dont think really fits with the song personally.
or maybe needs some reverb and delay + not used as often..
Overall nice track.. I personally dont like FL at all, and wont use it, but when people can make a track that doesnt "sound like fruity" then i dont mind, you did a good job on this one , i dont have many suggestions on this one.
DavidTranceSynthVania3 Oct 2003, 02:27 Nice drum work!
Nice pad
at 2:33 I think it sounds a bit messy, too much stuff on top of each other... try mixing sounds which blends more nicely together. Not bad tho!
hmm, don't have many pointers on this one :P
Good work!Lithius3 Oct 2003, 04:29 Fruityloops has an incredible potential that is still growing to this date, but the stock instruments kinda suck. And they totally suck without FX. The TS404 and WASP makes some good sounding 303 and bassline sounds, the 3x OSC is a simple, yet functional synth, but you need to rack up FX for it to sound any good ... you know. If you want FL to sound good you need VSTs, and lots of 'em. There ain't no subtraktor in FL. I have just a pile of VSTs I use. Don't think of FL as a bad sequencer, think of it as a barebone system. After all, the most expensive and featured version is just $150 (Cubase is $600+). You can get your VSTs and FL for the price of getting cubase or reason or somethin', and the setup will make a plenty powerful studio. Just my $0.02.
As for 2:33, yea, you're right. Kinda gets a little screwy there huh ... might even tweak the synth while I'm at it ...Lithius3 Oct 2003, 09:27 Ok! The revised track is uploaded to the same link. the 2:33 part sounds a bit better, I added some more clap grooviness, tweaked the synth at ~2:00, mastered it out a bit more ... a bunch of stuff. Sounds a lot better from you guys' help! What do you think?TranceSynthVania3 Oct 2003, 12:11 I don't use FL Studio, but I had FruityLoops before... from what I've seen, FL Studio can only be a sequencer for VSTi's, if they work in FL at all thoBALLISTIC SOLUTION3 Oct 2003, 12:33 heh heh heh...the triangle rules in surround sound....cool track man...Lithius7 Oct 2003, 19:50 OneLoneMan8 Oct 2003, 00:52 "Sounds good to me!", said the old man.BALLISTIC SOLUTION14 Oct 2003, 03:40 promo, new track, lithius
