I was wondering if this track works, it is called Come Here. A link can be found below. I wrote this a few months ago and released it on IUMA.com. I was listening to it the other day and thought that it could use some work. Any ideas?

    I really like it actually...

neat percussion, the kick is a bit weak IMO though.

the low 303 bassline is a tiny bit too loud... maybe you should try putting a compressor on it?

The lead is a bit loud as well, just drop the volume a little bit.

I dont really care for the sound of the lead. Its not "harsh" enough IMO. Try boosing the filter frequency a bit and maybe a little bit of resonance.

What are you using to produce?

As far as structure goes its pretty good, I prefer a bit longer of a breakdown but that's all in personal taste.

Good work, theres still some work that could be done but the track has promise. :)

Thank you for your advice. Unfortunatly, I lost the original file when I got a nasty virus. I will try and re-create it.

    I am currently running this:

Sharp Laptop (Not sure the brand, I'm on a different computer)
It has and AMD 1800+ with 256 mb RAM and a 40 GB hard drive

    Software:

    FL Studio 4.12 Producer Edition
    Synth1 DXi
    Dreamstation DXi
    Native Instruments FM7
    Muon Tau Pro Bassline
    Muon ATOM PRO
    Steinberg Cubasis VST 4.0
    Cakewalk Pyro
2 Numark 1600 Belt Drive Turntables
    Optimus 2 Channel Stereo Mixer
and a POS Sony CD/Tape/Radio Combo with two AUX inputs and one Digital input

I also have plenty of samples and several other VST and DXi instruments.

Yeah your percussion is definately too quiet , the leads and bass over power it. id boost the volume of all the percussion. melody is pretty good . and like trancefuzion said put a copmppressor on the kick. I dont care much for the ending. But overal its a decent track.

I pretty much agree with everyting said above... One thing I would to tho, is to change the 303 bass sound itself to another sound which fits more to the kick. Or maybe change the kick to fit the bassline, I dunno :P
The melody is ok, not bad.

Overall sounded ok. work on your mixing and leveling on some instruments is my tip..

    Keep it up!
