BALLISTIC SOLUTION15 Jun 2004, 09:01 1st, let me say that it's good to be able to get on the forums again...haven't had the time for the past few months...
anyhow, here's the deal... i've been laying down tracks that have samples running through the background with questionable taste. i've always thought that music should have a point & make you think. therefore on the 4 track cd i plan on putting out, my 1st 2 songs, "and then everything went wrong" & "meatgrinder" have samples of cleveland tower to united flight 93 (september 11th) & 911 tapes from the columbine high school shooting running below the music in each track respectively.
i do not glamourize, nor condone either event. it just adds the WTF?! factor to the tracks. i use the samples running throughout the entire song, just as if it were another instrument.
i just wanted to see what the general consensus was around here...
cheers,
