Alle1 Oct 2003, 02:30 Let me know what you think, Invision Board has an integrated chat that will use your present information. It's a $120 per year and since the forum seem to be working well I thought this might be worth to look into...
What's your opinion?

PS. As for paying this fee - this would come out of my pocket - it's not a subscription service or anything like that. DS.David McGowan1 Oct 2003, 02:36 I think it would be cool, but for 120 bucks a year! jesus... i dunno about that. its kind of a lot of money for that option...
DavidAlle1 Oct 2003, 02:39 I know, but in such case it also fully integrates with the forum - no need for me to add modifications to every single skin installed etc... simply works right away and also grabs your user info from the members directory...
We'll see what happens, I'm gonna think about this a bit while I collect your replies... I also think things will look diffrent if we got a few more performances to balance our income.
//AlexTranceSynthVania1 Oct 2003, 02:43 to be honest, I don't think we need it, Alle... I mean, we do post very often on the board here. So I think it would maybe be too much to have a chat here as well... And I think most of us are already chatting on either MSN or ICQ or some other chat service... but then again, that's just my opinion :)Trancefuzion1 Oct 2003, 03:45 I'm going to have to agree with Kristian on this one, Alle. $120 is quite a bit and I don't think we really need it. Save that money for some new hardware or software or something you really need. B)BALLISTIC SOLUTION1 Oct 2003, 08:57 i agree with TSV & Trancefuzion on this one...especially if we ask questions to each other about producing & mixing, etc... it's good to have something to look back on & referance after we finally get our gear or finish a track. we'd forget the advice, or tips within a few hours with chat. hell, i know i'm on here every few hours... so break your air conditioner & use the money to buy sodas so we can have more tracks a la PERFECTO :lol:DjDaed1 Oct 2003, 16:33 I have to agree with everyone else on this one. It would be a cool thing, but at $120 a year, thats a bit too much. It might be a good feature a bit later though. Once you get your studio back up.T3CHNOJUNKIE4201 Oct 2003, 19:32 TranceSynthVania wrote:to be honest, I don't think we need it, Alle... I mean, we do post very often on the board here. Yup, $120 <_< is way too much for a chat room and most of us talk on some sort of instant messenger so a chat wouldn't be of much use.Hephaestus2 Oct 2003, 19:48 just make an IRC link....dude i would modify it for you...there are so many places to use them its not that hard. if you need me to send you info on where to place one and we will try to keep it up, i will see if we can get it linked to the website also but i do think that a chat/irc would be pretty cool.M.Y.K2 Oct 2003, 20:48 Hi. About those 120$, I am agree with the rest of people from here. I don`t think is strictly necesary a CHAT, because we have other ways to comunicate, and you guys need a lot of money to get your studio back. So better keep your money for hardware`s. Also I would like to ask ALLE something. ALLE, i would like to know, if it is possible, what software do you use now for producing music, and for wich hardware are you interested in future ? Thank a lot to you, an to these people from here who countinuosly supports you. All the best. :rolleyes:Trancefuzion2 Oct 2003, 21:39 M.Y.K wrote: i would like to know, if it is possible, what software do you use now for producing music
I know they're using Logic Audio right now. :rollwink:Alle2 Oct 2003, 21:41 Well, I guess there's no question about what to do here ;)
As for the webchat - I still want one, in case I want to hold a chat session while being on another computer or whatever... How does this option seem to you guys?

Works great. It will suffice. ;)
Is that the new look of the new t[]c site? Me likes! :DDavid McGowan3 Oct 2003, 01:09 Java irc chat works for me
DavidBALLISTIC SOLUTION14 Oct 2003, 02:54 news, t[]c forum chat, allecyph3r14 Feb 2004, 08:27 well Alle, i really don't know if paying 120$ out of your own pocket would be the best soultion. i mean, the VIP Vault idea is an excellent idea for letting us give our contribution to t[]c. 120$ for one person is one thing, and 1$ for 120 guys is completely different, considering there are 1500 memebrs registered for Vault access (14 Feb 2004 @ 10AM), and this number will (probably) still increase.
chat is a good idea, and i think that members could (and should) give their support for getting this chat on the run.
best
