    Maybe I'll buy it.
    Maybe not. I already have all the tracks as mp3's, and to me they are more useful in that format. (That is, for Traktor amateur DJ-ing :) )
    But if I have the money, they'll be mine in a flash!
  3. teknodave30 Apr 2004, 13:25
    WOO HOO! Today is my payday! Even though I have all them on MP3 as well, I always score a copy from you guys, cuz the artwork is kewl, and it helps you guys out! :P :music:

    I will probably purchase it while I am at work, I may be able to spread the TC love! :wub:

    TIGHT!!!!!

    ---edit added----

    I had to give it 5 stars already (wow, the first to rate it too) cuz I already know all these kick-@$$ tunes, and seeing the artwork, so cool! The CD looks just like Beyond 2001 ... like a "real" CD, instead of the bland stamping mp3.com put on the CDs.

    So are you gonna be going thru these guys from now on? The only gripe I have about them is that they wanted to charge me almost $13.00 for Express mail, where standard was not even $3.00! They should do like the Priority Mail, thats only $4 ... that is quite a jump in price, $3 to $13.

    Other than that ..... AWESOME as always!!!!!

    teknodave:

    Glad to learn you like the artwork :) And yes, we'll stick to Ampcast from now and on - Hopefully we'll also do a few retail CD's further on but for now Ampcast will be our nest for selling CD's.

    That was quite expencive for Express service, however I suppose the $10 diffrence justify a few days of extra waiting :)

    Best,

    Alex

    You guys are good, but I only like 3 songs on this CD. Still, if I had the money, I would buy it.

    Better get started changing the labelprint...

    That's not good ....

    I ordered my CD on the 30th of April, it shipped out May 5th .... I am hoping it shows up soon, I'm dying to crank it up in the parking lot at work! (since I had it sent to me here at work) :lol: :music: :P ^_^

    :: edit ::

    Correction. I did get it today. A co-worker pointed out I had a small package in my box, about the size of a CD. I was "We have boxes now?" Then danced happily to it (after searching for it for a few minutes).

    Took it to my desk, opened it up ...

    And got the same thing you did.

    It's just not black and white. It's a photocopy of the artwork stuck to the disk! :shakehead: :(

    Not your fault there, Alle. Time 2 make another fabulous phonecall? :whistle:

    Hmm... that's bad.

    Do you think you somehow can send me a picture of what it looks like and I'll get on with the complaints to Ampcast - Would also be good if you e-mailed the support about this.

  14. teknodave12 May 2004, 23:58
    Sure can ... it will be kinda cheesy, since all i have is a webcam right now, but I will do that when I get back in the house. The CD is in my car right now, and I have a volunteer meeting that I need to attend. It is a great non-prof grass-roots health organization that I have been involved with off and on for six years now.

    I will also e-mail customer support to figure out what the deal is with the photocopying of the artwork for the CD cover.

    As for the B/W print on the CD - I scanned the site and found the spec right under my nose - it clearly says B/W print on CD. However they're not supposed to deliver products that're stuck together in odd ways.

    Question: Do Ampcast CDs work in XBOXs? Meaning are they burned or are they REAL CDs.
    Peace, love, and T[]C,
    Derek
  19. Alle27 May 2004, 15:29
    I really don't know - they're duplicated CD's, meaning that I think they burn the CD's, put labels on them and then package them.

    Blahr indeed. I want to buy these cds, but hey that's what you get. You need like a publisist or something... get a great lable and get good cd printing, lol. Unfortunately, even if you are better than DJ Tiesto... he just has more background and hires tons of people to publicize. It's not fair really but ah well. Such is life. I'm lucky if 10 people actually know about my site. www.djfreaq.com. I am not as good as you guys yet at all, but I understand the frustrations.

    <djfreaq pats his 52x burner>
    that's my source of publicity
    <djfreaq pats 100 stack of cd-rs>
    mmmm

    I wouldn't say we're frustrated over this. I see it as a service for those who want our work on CD. Besides a CD via ampcast pay us 2-3 times as much as we would earn from a regular CD via a label.

    We also do release stuff via labels and we've got a new 12" coming out in July. More will come too as the label have an agreement with the distributor for a line of 27 releases over the next two years.

    Best,

    Alex
