Downloading... the downloads do go a little bit faster... but not by much. ;)

12kb/s as opposed to the 9 I was getting before. :P
  3. Alle5 Mar 2004, 15:30
I'm sorry but for now this is the best I can deliver - the server is a huge one provided by my ISP witch is the fastest one in Sweden.

Hope it'll be worth the wait for you :)

    Best,

    Alex

WOWWWWWWWWWWWW You guys are making the most INSANE tunes lately!

I can definately hear the WennE in this one. The intro seems pretty similar to something you guys would have done on Beyond 2001.

But the melody and just the chords in general... GOOSEBUMPS!

5/5 from me!!! I'm gonna have to take a closer listen later. It's time for school. ;)
  5. Trancefuzion5 Mar 2004, 15:37
And definitely worth the wait! All of them are! ;)
  6. Heaven's ReBirth5 Mar 2004, 19:52
Now I know what people meant before about slow download rate, haha, it wasn't going 9 kb/s for me before! Oh well, I guess it's worth the '11 min 20 sec (2.69 MB of 8.66 MB copied)' wait.

Nope. It'll definately be worth the wait.

Your description of the song is making me all giddy! I can't wait to hear it, and when I do hear it, I'll post another message *live while song playing*

    'Till then,

    Andy

Sorry, forgot to login. That was me ^
  9. Plox5 Mar 2004, 21:20
I am not sure why you guys are complaining about speed.

I got the song in about a minute, from the US. :D

    :music:

I like it, but I think it comes a bit short for 5/5.

    4/5 Good work guys.
  10. xkwox5 Mar 2004, 23:06
    Good work guys.
  11. AlexW6 Mar 2004, 00:19
I have to say this is actually quite nice, one of the better releases from wenne :)
  12. DJ Bluey6 Mar 2004, 00:43
Hmmm, I do like it, but there's one thing I'm not too amazed with. The main lead melody is good, but the synth is so...unsustained. I'm like huge on your tracks with sustained, echo-y, reverbed main leads (Deep Vibrations, Love and Desire, Gothenburg Sound, Scream, Perfecto). I know three of those tracks were done with hardware, though, so maybe you couldn't help it. Still, I loved the main melody, and if it would have built up to something more sustained (I'm sure there's some trance term for it), that would have made it an easy 5/5. But without a sustained main lead, it just sounds so "tappy" and empty. Still, everything else is great. I give it 4/5, so good job! You guys are awesome!

Okay, so an update. I've been listening to it all night basically. I now give it a 4.5/5. It's bad ass! :P

Yes!.......... Like the old songs, I like it much better but its a matter of taste.
Keep doing this king of song.
  14. djdarkshade6 Mar 2004, 04:43
YES! This is awesome! You guys are crankin'm out one after the other and they're gettin' better and better every time! This is great! 5 stars no doubt! Totally great song - I'm rawkin' out here! The siren just hit and it adds an awesome effect - this is great. Freakin' sweet freakin melody, freakin' awesome beat, Aww man this is the best one yet! Every song you guys have pumped out recently is better then the one before it!

You should so send this around to record lables. Boojah. So great. SO great.

I'm so stoked - this is beyond words.
  15. TranceSynthVania6 Mar 2004, 11:23
Hey! I must say this is very good indeed! This song really has a point or meaning (don't know how to explain it) that has been lacking in your previous tracks (my opinion though). Make more like this guys! Climb back up on top of my favourite list again! :cheesburger:
  16. Proxim06 Mar 2004, 16:58
Argh. :pissed: this is going at 1.14 kb/s just like last night. :cwy: omg. . . . . now its going at 369 BYTES/s. im never gonna get the new song
  17. David McGowan6 Mar 2004, 21:08
Im going to add my review here in a sec when this finished downloading.

but first i too am having a problem. now i am directly connected to 3 multihomed T1's with plenty of bandwidth. and im getting 4.5 k per second. doing a traceroute i get awesome response times all the way in to sweeden and onto your network. there is something that stops my ICMP pings, but thats normal for firewalls to stop. look at this.

look at the part highlighted red those are milisecond delays, which look really good.

So its not network congestion thats causing this problem, its more like bandwidth throttling to me. just my opinion.

Now i used to get really good download speeds before all this changed. well im still at 60% , at 3.7k per second. so ill finish this and write my review later.

    David
  18. David McGowan6 Mar 2004, 21:39
    Ok listening now.

Nice intro, pads and effects are good, signature 303 stabs , of course. Lovein the bassline, its phat and rich. really sets the tone. arpline is good too. Static effects from the previous song, which i mentioned would work great, and they do!

i have to agree here at the break , the lead synth , 2:50 , i dont care for it, sounds like it has too much portamento. its pitch bending between notes.
love the fx, love the filtered breakbeats, oh yeah , got to love em.

pads are gorgoues as always. melody is great.

The only other thing i want to say is that it does see a little clutter at times, it could be my imagination.

The bass is so phat , i wanna know how you do that :P

    4.5/5 thats my review.

    David
  19. Heaven's ReBirth6 Mar 2004, 23:35
I never really got a chance to write a *live while listening* review to you guys, but like Trancefuzion was saying, you guys really are making insane tunes lately. Since I've got a really nice sound system (not to boast), I'm able to hear every little detail, and I can definately say that I know very few groups who tweak the details like trance[]control does. Not only that, but the dedication that both of you show is incredible; a song is being produced in what seems like every month. Who else can accomplish such a feat and come out with such outstanding material?

    Anyone else agree? ^_^

it is goin 1.6 which is just too long. It may be great but the speed stinks.
  21. lkollar7 Mar 2004, 04:20
Third download attempt was the charm. At 2.2kbps, I don't feel so bad about having a dialup. :D

This one's definitely a keeper -- one of your best. I almost forgot to breathe a couple of times.

    5 stars!
  22. Alle7 Mar 2004, 10:08
Great to hear your responses here!
The songs are NOT hosted on the trancecontrol.com server however I'll quickly add another download location for you guys.

    Best,

    Alex

Peak Time added to Server #1 so hopefully you guys will get better download speeds now.

youre endangering yourself and others by displaying the IPs. watch yourself. ;)
  26. David McGowan10 Mar 2004, 00:43
First of all im just displaying my own ip. all the others are routers along the way of the internet, plus T[]c's which anyone can get with a simple NSLOOKUP. as for my ip , i dont care if anyone knows my ip. my machine is secured. i do this for a living.
  27. Sonik10 Mar 2004, 01:00
I agree. IPs are extremely easy to get. If somebody was really interested in harming somebody's computer or server...the IP would be the least of their worries.

Very cool, good job. At first this song seemed really lacking in terms of leaving a lasting impression, however after a few more listens its just awesome! David's review pretty much sums up everything I would have said.

    Overall, really nice job here!

EDIT: Oh yeah about the ip thing... my [static] ip is [IP address hidden]. Have fun trying to hack it, but you wont get in.

this song feels like peaking on ecstasy. at least the part with the heartbeat (3:05 - 3:30). maybe you could use that heartbeat longer in a future song. great transition when the bassline returns. i like that bass. (4:12).
sometimes it gets too uplifting, which reminds of mainstream "techno".

personally i think thats a problem with all your songs. either you are making trance for parties and partypeople, or you are making "techno" for mtv. you cant do both (not within the same song).
if you would decide for one direction, you would be more successfull. i am serious. and don't tell me thats "it's our style".

most of your songs start out with a great bass, or with cool synthlines (303 like) or melodies. but no songs keeps that style til the end. they all get cheesy and mainstreamly sooner or later.

keep one style ("underground" or "mainstream") within one song, and you will rock.

    oh he challenged yall hackers

All those downloads coming from Denmark ~ No wonder I love your guys' music so much, you appeal to Danes!! (I am at least 1/4 Danish)

But I will toss my two cents into the jar as well here, this track was hella tight! One of the best to come out yet ~ but they are all excellent in their awesome, unique way! :music:
  36. t[]c lover24 Mar 2004, 23:55
    so classic, yet so today
  37. MrGoodbytes27 Mar 2004, 00:05
    #^*&@ AMAZING!

I have it stuck in my head now after repeat after repeat. I love the heartbeat, as someone put it. I'm at a loss for words right now. I'm lovin' this new style, expecially Peak Time because it has a more classic t[]c feel to it.

    Keep up the great work,
    :music: Graeme
  38. bbrriiaann27 Mar 2004, 08:50
Yep, out ot the last 3 this is the best one. I liked that whistle sound. I didn't hear no heartbeat or any thing special happen on 03:05 or 04:12. Welll maybe a leeeeeltle bit but whatev.

Anyway, I don't care much for the intro's. I agree that they are necessary, but I like it when you get into it, like 30 seconds to a minute in the song.

And hey, don't listen to Hardwire. Don't make unreal choices about mainstream or underground, I hate 'high priests' like that. Thou-shalt-not this and that ..... yech!!!
Your music sounds cool, listen to you're inner self and to close friends. Maybe a classical musician? African beats? Lap people? Saami? So, it's not your style! What difference does it make? And I'm not at all that impressed by 303-likenesses
    Keep it up!
  39. jojo23jojo2327 Mar 2004, 19:45
dude's right ... this is the best one out of the last 3 ... it's awesome, especially when the beat drops back in ... i only heard the heartbeat thing at like 3:20 or around there though ... and then it comes up to the front all quick ... but it's still sweet :D

Damn, this song is very nice...it's the best LATEST one :)

I like it..very commercial sounding and with a "peaky" melody that gives an emotional heart punch!

    Nice one, guys...!

Good one. Moves my mind (stirs my imagination). Keep tunes like this one coming. B)
  44. liquifaction7 Apr 2004, 17:00
This is a very good tune.. But I am not sure if I should be commenting on slight problems with the work.. as every one else has said good things.. There is one small issue, the main reason I am saying about it is that, I used to have it in my tunes. The main synth needs a tiny bit more white noise that is EQ'ed in the upper mid frequency range. I believe that it gives the main synth a tiny bit more of a full sound..

This is a most excellent tune though, great work.. keep it up!!

That could work, but I dunno music well.
  46. David McGowan8 Apr 2004, 02:41
Well , i would say thats more of a personal prefrence. could be that , that is how you would like it to sound.

personally the way i see it t[]c has been producing tracks since at least 97, and have well over 70 tracks to there name. i think they have there sound the way they want it.

by the way i have reviewed your track in promote your work.

    David

    cool I wanna see.
  48. Northern_Fist27 Apr 2004, 02:25
Peak Time is da bomb. My friends who also like this style of music even appreciate it. I don't know where all these negatives comments are comming from, but Peak Time rivals a good 90-some% of most trance that I've heard.

There's a chance I might preform a musical kata (form) to a strategic segment of this track at my next martial arts compatition (alot of "musical form" compos are being done to this kind of music thesedays).
  49. MrGoodbytes27 Apr 2004, 19:42
Interesting idea. What kata of what art would you be performing? I study Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate.
The thought of kata to music has crossed my mind but I have never tried it myself, or heard of anyone else try it. Besides, all the kata I know are no longer than a minute or so long and have varying pace (except Sanchin).
Anyways, Me + Peak Time = :music:

I take Tang Soo Do. With faster music, like Riding Mary Jane, I could work
  51. lkollar29 Apr 2004, 02:16
I always thought Atomic Dance Explosion would make a good kata track... if you could keep up for 3 minutes. :D

the speed is slow at 300bytes/sec and also im getting cut off
