    NAME: Anticlimax
    STYLE: Melodic / Progressive
    DURATION: 7:25
    PRODUCED BY: DjC & WennE
    FORMAT: [Server 1] 192 Kbps MP3 | [Server 2] 160 Kbps MP3
    STATUS: ONLINE - http://www.trancecontrol.com/mp3

This is the very first 2004 produced song! We've been holding it back in wait for labelresponse, however time ran out for them and came for You! So here we are, more then pleased to serve the 23'rd release since the start of the MISSION 2002 Project.

The song name Anticlimax in a way tells the tale of what to expect - it's a very mellow laidback yet bouncy track presented in a way you may not be used to. Any comments are most wellcome either in the forum or in the MP3/VIP Vault-guestbook.

The MP3 file has been placed on a 2Gbit server as we expect a higher bandwith requirement for this song - Any old experiences with slow downloads from the MP3 Vault will not apply to this song.

    Get the song @ http://www.trancecontrol.com/mp3

    Enjoy!

Downloading now but its only going about 8kb/s???
  3. Alle19 Feb 2004, 21:52
    That's wierd.... I get 1,2Mb/Sec.

Did you have a better transfer rate from the other songs in the vault? If this is the case then I'll simply add it to that server as well.

Tried Small Drops of Acid and its capping at about 9kb/s...

I know its not my connection because I can download from other sites faster... hmmm <_<
  5. Alle19 Feb 2004, 21:56
Well, could be cause both servers are located in Sweden then... UK + US servers are on the way...

I hope you can bare with the slow downloads for just a short while longer.

  6. Trancefuzion19 Feb 2004, 21:59
That's a possibility. I remember I was having buffering problems from your server when we we did TCF 1 so maybe its just the Sweden thing. I can normally get good speeds from the UK. But now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that its because you're in Sweden. I get slow downloads from Propellerheads site as well.
  7. Alle19 Feb 2004, 22:00
Ok then, well I hope the time will be worth it once you get the song :)
  8. Alle19 Feb 2004, 22:07
There is a lot of downloads @ the same time - so perhaps that can be the answer? Either way - I'm adding a 2'nd location for this song - Look for ANTICLIMAX [S2] in the downloadlist in about 4-5 minutes.

OK I got the track. Listening now.

Very nice intro, I like the FX synth a lot.

    Good solid buildup.

Wow I love the dreamy feel of this!

Here's the breakdown... holy crap I love those pads!!! OMGOMGOMG

I wish this were a tiny bit more melodic but holy crap this is the best I've heard from you guys in a LONG LONG TIME!!!

9.5/10 and 5 stars from me!!!
  10. Trancefuzion19 Feb 2004, 22:15
Its too bad this didn't get signed... its definitely of that quality that it should have... bummer... oh well... great work guys!!! :D
  11. teknodave19 Feb 2004, 22:17
    YAY! and CRAP! :cwy:

I am at work right now -- I was hoping I could listen to it here. Sadly, no. :cwy:

I am off in less than two hours, so I know what I will be doing the instant I walk into the door! WOO HOO! B) :D :P ^_^
  12. Heaven's ReBirth19 Feb 2004, 22:32
    :D

    2 Things

One, the download speed is awesome, I love the fact that there is a multi-server set up! Great work both of you!

    Two...

God....DAMN I LOOOVE this song so far! I loved it so much I had to blaze to this forum to write down what I was thinking. Just the way you've intertwined all of them to make it melodically 'fit' together is just awesome. Let's see...here's a break, I'm gonna wait for a second until I continue...

Love the pads by the way B)

Oooo...nice build up, its gradual and quiet.

There's the FX, sweet ass stuff...

Aww now this is just sweet!!!

    :woot:
Yeah, like the smiley says, "w00t w00t!"

All around incredibly varied, a laid-back melodic feel, something you wouldn't normally hear from t[]c, but I think it's a great change for the better!

    cLaP cLaP

Trance[]Control still roxors my soxors :D

Where can i add at least 7 stars???
It rocks!!! TC, you are still my favorites:))))

By the way, i've got it in a few minutes, so there was no slow speed error:)))

We're glad to hear you enjoy it :)

As for download speeds - Good to hear some of you got it quickly - however US & UK servers will probably kill the occasional slow downloadrate problem permanently.

By the way - There are two more songs on the way...

1 that was completed a few days ago named 'Riding Mary-Jane' and another one that was completed today, however it still needs some mixing & mastering work.

    Stay tuned :)

    Best,

    Alex

    Hey guys!
The song ..well gotta say it sounds very clean..but my only issue with it is the lack of change in the melody.
I think you have done better but everyone else so far likes it but I'm only gonna give it 4 stars. Well ... never mind I don't want to mess uo your stars thing so I'll just tell you this.
Any ways I hope you guys don't hate me now but just thought I would put my 2 cents in. :D

Really nice job :D. It's got a nice dreamy yet bouncy atmosphere to it.

You did an excellent job on the synths. And OMG! 192kbps!! There are actually high frequencies in this song!! :D :D :D :D.

I don't feel like saying much else right now... great job though :D

  18. djdarkshade20 Feb 2004, 01:03
I'm gettin about 24kbps right now... Not that it's real fast, but it sure isn't as slow as I expected it to be, especailly over seas and all. I'm about to listen to it - I can't wait.

Won't lemme d/load. Just a "Restricted Area" page asking me to sign in or register but I'm already registered & signed in to the forums.
  20. Alle20 Feb 2004, 01:14
Mel David: The database behind the MP3 Vault doesn't use the info from the forums - I'm sorry to say you must register to the MP3 Vault as well. I'm not that good in programming stuff yet and I'm currently having an external guy working on the new backend interface for the MP3/VIP Vault that will be finnished in a few weeks.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

This song is awesome. It's incredibly melodic and "dreamy." Different in terms of trance[]control's style too, but good-different. I'm glad that it has an "abundant" feel to it as opposed to the empty feeling I got after listening to Small Drops of Acid a bunch of times.

I'm in love with the mellow part that starts around 3:25; I get so lost in the melody at that point. I'm listening to it and getting a feeling I used to get when listening to Vol. 1 for the first time. This "difference" is definitely a good thing.

Anticlimax is definitely 5 stars on its own terms. I'm still hoping for another Perfecto-esque track; or something as memorable and new as Imported Nightmare was.

I remember hearing you say that you had three songs in production. I definitely can't wait to hear the other two. B)

    SHIIIIIEEEIIIT!!!
My opinion is that this is one of the best TC songs ever, along with progression, unicorn and sunrise.
Great buildup, good old TC techniques to get shit rolling. Great meloides, great "wooden" drums (Where do you get those samples? Secret, ey? ^_^ )
For critiscism I could say that melodies are a bit repetative the last 2 minutes, but a great thing that the flanged SFX synth comes back in the end.
An obvious number 5. Just wait till I get home to my real speakers, only got headphones atm.

Yeah, I got it in over 500 KB/Sec so it isn't something wrong with your ISP :)
  24. DjDaed20 Feb 2004, 13:56
Wow, different, but great. Nice job. I had no problem downloading it from work in the states. Keep up the great work guys!!
  25. Sonik20 Feb 2004, 14:48
Great work here, guys. I must say this is one of your best works. Why did you choose that name for the song anyway? Anticlimax basically means to become less important or not as good as before. Like the anticlimax of Trance Control would be bad because you guys are getting better every day. Anti is latin for "opposed" to whatever you are appling it to. So the song should be called Climax instead because that means "The point of greatest intensity or force in an ascending series or progression." ;)

Anyhow, great job with the song. Keep them coming.
  26. lingk20 Feb 2004, 17:34
well the download speed was normel for me... I mean.. you can't get much more then like 7k on dial up... but oh well thats what i get for liveinging in the middle of no ware in a trailer park.... but i do like this.. i wouldn't say it's your best work... but it is real good none the less... you can pick up the old school trance[]control feel witch it really night.. and it has a new style to it.. whitch is cool... kid of a mix of some of the other MS2002 stuff. it has a nice progression to is... and i like the dreamy feel to it.. nice and smooth good song to chill and mellow out too... kind of makes me want to do my home for class tonight... but haha like i would do home for an intro class.. haha any who... I give it my 4 stars!

    great job guys!!!!!

    :D :music:
  27. xkwox20 Feb 2004, 20:45
I like it a lot. A lot more mature and professional yet still retains your guys orginal creativity :)
  28. OOBE21 Feb 2004, 03:41
Hmmm...nice and it still retains the t[]c bite. I really like it...very melodic and mellow...good for a video of some 1000 HP Supras racing on the streets :D
  29. djdarkshade21 Feb 2004, 09:24
Wow dudes, you really did it up this time. This song is compleatly awesome. The melody is so great, and like was said above, it's got that sweet sounding dreamy feeling to it. This was definitly one of the best to show the label companies. If MP3.com was still goin' on, this would already be on the top 40's. It's very exciting to hear a new song from ya, especailly one as compleatly awesome as this. Man... I gotta play it again. Right now.
Rawk on guys. You guys truly do rawk.

    --==[Nathan]==--

Just another note: The toms really gave it a cool effect.
  30. Dragoon21 Feb 2004, 22:06
    Good grief indeed...

Well, a bit SPECIAL if you ask me  . Reminds me of UNICORN RIP somehow...however, an excellent song! been waiting for it for a LOOOOOOONG time now, and it really lived up to my expectations! If I had your talent...(and if I had a nickel for evey time I said that... )

Great song, keep up the good work!

Really quickly, I really hope you guys are still planning on the 5-disc set once you've finished M2002. Because that will be one hell of a trance collection! It will be amazing. Volume 3 is already kick-ass!

i waited a long for a new song....but it was worth every second of waiting...
awsome awsome awsome!!!!!! song....love it love it love it...........great work guys...keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  34. Proxim023 Feb 2004, 06:56
This song was good. I wouldn't put this up with the best of trance control. Its a bit too mellow for my tastes. The title really tells the whole song. AntiClimax which is exactly right because there is no climax so i don't know why so many people are calling it progressive when it doesn't quite pregress. Its still a good song. Not your best not your worst. Maybe im just spoiled with the greatness that are your other songs.
  35. Sonik23 Feb 2004, 14:59
They have been saying that it's a new style. So if I was going to start a new trend in my own music, I wouldn't give the song a name that would mean less of what I want it to become.
  36. Alle23 Feb 2004, 17:17
I'm stunned to read all the replyposts here! But to clear one thing out - The name of the song refers to the song itself, and not to the present or future of trance[]control... The reason the son is named that way is cause it simply doesn't have a climax - it's a constant build & progression without a climax.

    Best,

    Alex
  37. Sonik23 Feb 2004, 22:21
Ah, thanks for clearing that up Alle.
  38. lkollar24 Feb 2004, 02:05
I'm listening now -- ah, the joys of having a dialup...

Nice intro, I like that "I'm calling you" feel. It really starts kicking after a minute & a half or so. Trying to figure out where the other folks here are getting "mellow" from. :) Ah, I've got it -- that deep, throbbing, t[]c signature bass line hasn't made an appearance. Doesn't make it any more or less mellow, though.

...and, at 5:20, the wife comes in, "I hate it when you wear headphones! I scream for you and you don't hear me!" :P So, let's start over. (intro, build, etc.) :music:

Very nice! I'll give it 4 stars....
  39. Proxim024 Feb 2004, 02:41
Alle but for something to be considered Progressive, doesn't that require it to progress toward a climax?
  40. Alle24 Feb 2004, 14:39
    Proxim0

    You're both right and wrong.

To progress is the same as evolve - something that has a constant movement or change.

There's naturally a peak in everything, nomatter how calm or crazy that thing might be. So in a way this track also builds towards a climax, however there doesn't really seem to be a climax you can put your finger to...

    Best,

    Alex

    True-dat.

Alle, you guys are the masters of music. No doubt.
I'm listening to it for like, the 20th time sence it was released.

 new to this BB , but been listening for a long time - only got a dial up so got to wait a while, but seems it's worth the wait. Probably a bit older than the rest of you, but you're as young as you feel!

Everyhting you said it was...But I dont seem to have the same feel for it.
  46. Guest5 Jul 2004, 14:00
The melody is so simple that you have to be a mastermind of those pads in order to keep this song alive - which are awesome by the way. Some of those pad sounds have an epic-human sound (like a choir) in them that revitalizes the moving beat. I have to say that this is indeed another moving track by TC.
