So a guy called me up on the phone yesterday and told me that he wanted me to make some instrumentals to his rap! Pretty dang sweet, but the coolest part about it is he's gonna give me cash up front to fix my computer!! Yaaay, I can't wait to get SAL up and running again. This time I'm gonna overclock the front side bus to like, a million. It'll be great.

    Pretty cool huh?!

actually I used to overclock this computer but i just set it back for safety. I really miss that extra 400mhz though.. :(

Don't overclock?? Are you guys nuts?? :D

No really, I've perfected the art of overclocking and I'm able to get my computer red hot without melting it. Well, not really, but you know what I mean. The reason it fried was because I was using a cheapo probably-sweatshop-made power supply that ended up screwing my system. I'm going to put at least a 500W supply into my new system along with a mobo capable of running at 400Mhz+ of an overclock. No worries about it. Think of it like modifying a gas engine - if you do it wrong, it'll be ok just sitting there, but if you start it, it'll explode or something halarious like that, but if you do it right, it'll really scream. Only OC-ing is not so permanent.

    I am the T-bred shirt ninja!!

If you overclock, buy liquid cooler system :)

I would if I could, it costs $400 for a very simple setup that's worth anything ... I have an extremely powerful air cooling system installed. A big fatty Thermaltake copper heatsink with a high-rpm 80mm fan, lapped, and ducted to the rear of the computer with dryer vent. On top of that, Arctic Silver 3 is used for heat conduction, and the PSU is ducted to blow away from the CPU fan's intake. It's pretty hardcore and keeps my system at a pretty mellow 52 degrees idle, 60 degrees power crunching, and 57 degrees with fan RPMs at a high speed power crunching. Gets as low as 45 idle w/ high ram RPMs. Still wish I could afford liquid cooling though.
