trance[]control 2004 US-Tour has been postponed!
I just got word from our tour coordinator telling us that we're in a difficult time for larger arrangements. He also told me a whole lot more, however the short version of it all is that the Tour is for now postponed - We're currently looking at early-mid summer, however nothing is for sure @ this point. This also means we're pushing the date for our Seattle performance along with the tour.
I'm very sorry to deliver such news, however some things we simply can not control nomatter how much we want to.
Best,
Alexander Carlborg

Hey all!
I hope you’re doing as well as we are!
I’m very excited to tell you we are planning our first tour, and it’s due soon!
Our first performance (as plans are now) will be in Seattle, Wa MAR 13, 2004. Negotiations with various event promoters throughout US & Canada are currently in process…
The date span is currently narrowed down to Fridays and Saturdays. However, we’re interested in all days within that time and two weeks prior/after the set dates… As long as there are secured bookings, the tour will be extended.
If you want us to stop by in your area we will need Your help. Please forward the attached press release to every club/party owner/promoter/organizer you know of… And by all means, feel free to pass the same info on to your friends asking them to do the same. Also, even if your state is listed above it doesn’t mean we got the booking secured – all interest in all areas is of great essence to make this tour work as only a fraction of the original interest will result in secure bookings.
ALL help will be premiered, so once you’ve forwarded or told someone about this tour (Promoter / Agent / Owner….) – please send a note to ▓ e-mail address hidden so that we can track your efforts and reward you when we end up with a secure booking.
As there is a lot of coordination behind all this we also need to ensure all bookings and requests are processed via our tour contact/coordinator Nick Tornetta in Seattle, WA. His contact information is to be found in the attached e-mail. After all, we wouldn’t want several people talking to the same event promoters – so once more, all contacts go through Nick J
That’s about all I had to say for now… Now go and spam the crap out every event promoter you know of J
Best whishes,
Alexander Carlborg
trance[]controlterraplex21 Nov 2003, 15:30 R u only playing in the states. I missed you last time in london, it would be great if you cam here!Alle21 Nov 2003, 16:11 For now we focus on US and Canada, though we wouldn't mind taking a few more trips.
Best,
AlexbLiNd21 Nov 2003, 19:59 Come to Vegas YO!! THatd be awesome.teknodave21 Nov 2003, 20:16 I have been dancing on Cloud 9 since I saw you guys were gonna be here in the Emerald City in February, and am even more psyched now that we get the honor of being the first stop in your big North American tour!!!
Alex: If you guys still need *any* help getting situated here, please feel free to let me know. As one of your humble fans, I am here to serve. :P :music:
I am gonna try and drag as many as my friends as possible to the show as well. :blush:DjDaed21 Nov 2003, 21:04 Alle,
Sorry that I haven't gotten back to you sooner, but I have been incapacitated for the last week. I won't go into the details, but anyway. I am still trying to see if the club that I spin at would be willing to have you guys spin here. Now that I know that you are going to be doing a tour, I will try even harder. I will let you know of anything that I get told about it, and I will keep you updated.
PS Its good to be back and walking again.ElectroBeatz21 Nov 2003, 21:31 you should look into playing at the Avalon in Boston, Mass. I don't know who to contact there, but it would definetely be worth looking into.Kiragan21 Nov 2003, 21:44 Ever since I heard about this on Monday, I've been trying to get some of the promoters here in Atlanta to make it happen. Since I see Georgia in your list, hopefully, it will!!! :)
KiraganMiGhTy-MaX21 Nov 2003, 23:08 I'll try to find a few agents in the Los Angeles area, I'd do it myself if I had the money and all... It'd be great to see you guys over here around then. I'll keep my eyes peeled. B)Sonik21 Nov 2003, 23:30 ElectroBeatz wrote: you should look into playing at the Avalon in Boston, Mass. I definately agree. I live way up in Maine on the EAST COAST. It seems as though all of the tour dates are in states not even on the east coast. If trance[]control could at least hit Boston, I would be able to make it there since it's only about a 2 hour drive for me.Guest_AqvaYak23 Nov 2003, 01:11 hey everyone in washington/vancouver area. i just sent about 15 email out to club promoters/rave promoters in the vancouver area about trance controls tour.
ill also be word of mouthing it at the many raves i attend.
that is the best i could do guys, hope to see you in vancouver in feb/mar
sean lambert :DOOBE23 Nov 2003, 02:52 Damn guys, I'm all the way in the East Coast in Virginia. If you guys would play here in Washington, D.C. where there's some clubs, I know you would hit the jackpot. I predict and I'm very confident that this tour will be the beginning of a new life for you guys and that the mp3.com shutdown will not be for bad, it's just something that was holding you. I know and have faith that you guys will "hit the jackpot" here in the United States, so I highly suggest to arm yourself for a heavy battle because your success depends on your preparation. Americans are totally different from other countries, and it's in a good way. If we like something, we give hype for a long time. That's how all the small bands and producers have gotten famous, like Linkin Park, Creed, Nickelback, Moby, Fat Boy Slim, etc...just regular Joes with shitty jobs who shared a passion for music and dedicated themselves to surpass all the obstacles and exceed peoples' expectations. We like fresh stuff, and I know you have it. If you would come down here, I would make a lot of copies of the document and post them around the military bases and in the malls and other places. The club Imsomnia in D.C. has been witness of a lot of famous trance producers...you could be the next ones. Good luck and I'll be praying for the success of this tour, which will mark the beginning of a new life for you guys. Remember this when your fame explodes...it's time to move on and get out of the shadows...don't waste yourself anymore...God's on your side and here's your chance...don't screw it up. :)MrGoodbytes23 Nov 2003, 05:12 I agree, just don't forget about us on the forum :P.
A friend and I (and probably a lot more ppl) want you to come to Toronto. Nick has already made a post on a rave forum here, but I don't think many people paid much attention :(. I'll do anything I can to promote you here.
And, I've got room in my basement if you need it lol.
Graemet[]c lover24 Nov 2003, 02:54 my basements bigger. i hope. do you do schools?Alle24 Nov 2003, 07:06 We'll perform where ever people would want us to.... :)DjDaed24 Nov 2003, 17:03 Still workin on Jacksonville North Carolina for you Alle.lazyboyzob1224 Nov 2003, 18:14 Alle,
Unfortunately I have NEVER been to a rave or such before and REALLY wanna go so if I go soon I will spread the "good news"! Hope to see you in Southern California!!
Derekteknodave24 Nov 2003, 22:21 lazyboyzob12 wrote:Unfortunately I have NEVER been to a rave or such before and REALLY wanna go
Same 4 me -- so this is gonna be beyond great! Beyond fantastic! Beyond 2001! *lol* :lol:DjDaed24 Nov 2003, 23:03 Unfortunately I have NEVER been to a rave
Its ok, neither have I, just clubs that I have spun in. They were just local joints that have just a bar, two decks and a mixer. I always end up bringing my own stuff because the house tunes suck.teknodave24 Nov 2003, 23:44 I have seen stuff on DVD before, like "Trance Experience" :::
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00007AJDX
where they look really fun (especially the really cool one with Tiesto).
The clubs and bars here in Seattle that I have been in pale in comparison to what they spin at raves.
So I am definately saving myself the sheer utter joy until February, when t[]c comes into town! :woot:Alle25 Nov 2003, 08:26 Well guys, you're surely in for a surprise... :)
Firstly the vibe @ a rave is way way way diffrent from what you get in a nightclub... Then you (normaly) got a humungus soundsystem that gives the music a 4'th dimention... And finally - the house is packed with people who all share the same love for the same kind of music...
The first time @ a rave is usually the best experience EVER. I've seen people starting to cry from allowing their emotional rush being embraced by the music and lightshows - Simply spectacular :)DjDaed25 Nov 2003, 11:58 Sounds like they are lots of fun Alle.teknodave25 Nov 2003, 14:49 Coooooooooooooooooool. It is imperative that you include the promoter's direct contact information (or whomever you have been communicating with) so I may follow up with them.
As for tour locations, we are going to need some pressure put on the promoters! If these people are in your area, please tell them how much that you want to see trance[]control and get all of the friends that you can to do the same!

trance[]control History:
The production duo trance[]control was founded early 1997 by the cousins Alexander Carlborg & Andreas Wennersköld. At a start music was only a common interest between the two but but the future had a bit more in stock then that. Andreas who previous to trance[]control played various instruments and was used to music programming had a fairly solid background within music. This compared to Alexander who pretty much didn’t have any background within music what so ever.
Today trance[]control is one of the largest, most well known and most downloaded bands on the internet (nearly 10 MILLION downloads on mp3.com). Even though the time from start to today has been fairly short counted in years, the path still has been long with many tricky turns along the way.
Their style & sound can generally be described as hard, progressive & melodic trance. But keep in mind that trance is a very broad genre where the lines between the different sub-genres are extremely thin. The bands specialty has over the years become to produce music that appeal people that normaly wouldn’t listen to this type of music. The age-scale of their listeners range from 10-65 years, though the more common group of people are between 15-30 years old. Despite the slightly odd and undergroundbased style of this band, their music still appeal the most addicted trance lovers out there as well. For instance, the band frequently is compared to other superstar Dj’s such as Commander Tom, BT, Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, Dj Tiësto to name a few.

However... ^_^
It has been a long time since I have been in the area, but I do know of a warehouse in the Georgetown district, that had hosted a rave a few years ago. It was just north of the 1st Ave South bridge, near my work.
There used to be another place in Georgetown that held events in the past, but they shut down about the same amount of time ago. I am unsure wether or not the structure still exists, or if it does, if it would be able to host.Alle15 Dec 2003, 23:28 Well, where ever it'll be I'm confident that the promoters know the area well and got a good clue about where to host the party. Thanks a lot for the help & concern though.
//Alexteknodave16 Dec 2003, 00:27 After seeing both "Go" and "Groove" over the weekend ... a warehouse would probably be the best venue, if you are expecting a large group.
I too have faith. Especially since Nick is in Seattle, I am sure he knows, or knows one who knows, a place to go.
