BALLISTIC SOLUTION12 Nov 2003, 10:35 hey rick, checked out the site & wondered what scale the WWII armor models were. look smaller than 1/35th. i think it's sorta funny how all of us military types do nothing but bitch about being in & once we get out, try to relive the experience  . i've got 380 days left untill ETS (& that'll be 10 years in the army). i know dj daed is in, forget what branch & oobe has the same job as me, only in puerto rico or some damn place.
anyhow, take care of yourself man...
oh, & one more thing...check out Lothlorien, it's celtic with synths...if you have kazaa you can get alot, they've taken most of their stuff off of mp3.com. their version of "she moved through the fair" always knocks me on my ass!
cheers,
mac

You're right about us ex and almost ex military types; bitch, bitch, bitch and then only remember the good times. I spent 13 years altogether in Uncle Sam's Canoe Club (65-68 & 74-84) and wouldn't change a minute of it, now that I'm looking back.
The photos of the German armor in B/W are 1/35. They were done back in the mid-70s while I was in the Navy on a Med Cruise. Back before all the aftermarket stuff that's around today was available. A friend took the pictures in my yard. The PT-109 models and the Tiger with them are both 1/72.
Looking to the future, I've got three 1/35 Shermans, a 1/72 F-8 Crusader, a 1/48 P-47 Thunderbolt, a '48 Ford Woody and a '69 Pontiac Catalina. Oh yeah, another PT-109, all of which are still unbuilt. But, I've almost finished a 1/72 JU-87 Stuka (hate doing canopies) and a 1/35 M151A1 MUTT. Oh well, one of these days.
Lothlorien is good. I"ve got some of their stuff on a CD. Trance is second only to Celtic music in the number of songs I've downloaded. Guess it comes from my Irish heritage. My grandparents on my mother's side were from County Clare.
