ElectroBeatz5 Nov 2003, 00:20 :woot: ok this one came out awesome i think... good sounds, good bassline.
it's a house track, sounding similar to Daft Punk - "Around The World" and Dirty Vegas - "Days Go By". (if i have the genre wrong again, let me know.)
I put a lot of time into this one, getting good sounds, tweaking, etc.
Listen with some good headphones to hear the panning and all the sounds, then test out the bass in your car's thumpin system.
It's 130 bpm. It starts out using japanese drums, then explodes to a dancey club track with a nice strong bassline. The song itself wasn't hard to create one I got all the sounds I wanted, but then again, songs like Around The World and Days Go By aren't that complex, they just have phat catchy basslines and good sounds. I'm hoping this song will get some good feedback!!!
I used a combination of FLStudio 4 and Cubase SX for this song.
OK here's the link (if it's not up yet, try back tomorrow):

title: "International"
Let me know if anything needs to be improved/reworked, or what u like/dislike etc. Thanks!!!ElectroBeatz5 Nov 2003, 23:31 ok International is up and running nowOneLoneMan6 Nov 2003, 19:42 Unlike some of your other music I dinot care much for "International". Not my cup-of-tea. But What do I know?David McGowan7 Nov 2003, 01:28 You have some cool sound choices here. but i felt the bassline and the melody were too diffrent they didnt seam to sit well together. like eeach one was made for a diffrent song. Also i would calssify this as something like chill, it doesnt have enough swing and groove rythem to be house.
Davidephex7 Nov 2003, 06:03 Nice job on some of the melodies, specificially the ones with the nice delay ;) The bassline [or, what I'm assuming is the bassline, the deep saw synth] really wasn't that good though. For production I give you a 4/10 because I like some synths and they were really quite good, however overall the song was very 'dry' and some synths weren't that great. Try more EQ/Reverb & Delay/Compression on your next track. Don't worry too much, if you keep at it your production skills will rise naturally over time.
For melodic content though I think this deserves at least a 7/10 because I feel that with a better production [and perhaps arrangement] you could have a stomper [everything sounds better in your head I'm sure, and this song makes me hear some really cool stuff in mine ;)]. Basicly what I'm saying is you're going in the right direction ;)
Good job :D
