Teacher's studio

Lithius25 Sept 2003, 07:03 Terry, my multimedia teacher, has this monster-huge studio at my high school devoted for student use (yahoo), and he has two setups going on right now. One with purely hardware stuff and one with software-based stuff. He doesn't know enough about sequencers to spend money on a FL studio setup or anything, but he has a "jag" G4 running Pro-Tools LE with a digi 001 and a nice 16 track mixer as his pro tools setup. And just today I figured out how to do a piano roll on LE. That was pretty tight (even though it sucks). So I'm gonna try to get his hardware synth, sampler, and drum machine to bust out some techno!! It might take a while cause it's a crummy setup for it, but I think he'd be pretty impressed to see techno coming from _that_ studio that was made for just editing music.
Cool. I dunno if I'd be able to do it ... anybody have advice on how to? I'm just playing around and figuring stuff out at this time ...BALLISTIC SOLUTION26 Sept 2003, 05:22 to quote the Dead Milkmen: "JUMPIN' JESUS ON A POGO-STICK!"

Hey I figured out how to do a piano roll the other day. It only works monophonically though, so I gotta pick around the settings and fix that. Maybe I'll make a track in Pro-Tools! heheheh, that's kinda cool. I'll use a hardware sampler and hardware synths. We have a drum machine too but it only has 12 sounds and their pretty lame ones too. The sampler will fix that ...
