In 1997, DJ Anti started the label Spiral Trax with the intention to formulate Scandinavian trance to surpass its boundaries. Successfully, throughout the past years, Spiral Trax managed to build up a global respect and reputation from a series of high quality releases. Today Scandinavian trance and Spiral Trax is considered a phenomenon as it has gained huge, worldwide popularity.

After the rising success of Spiral Trax with its Scandinavian artists, there was also a demand for releases by other producers. As a result, Spiral Trax International was formed in 1999. Although releasing the same sounds as its predecessor Spiral Trax, Spiral Trax International caters only for the non-Scandinavian artists.

Acid Casualties started at a time when trance was going through a lot of changes. The sound was dated and a lot of DJ´s were looking at techno, house and drum n bass for inspiration. As a result, Acid Casualties was set up to cater for the new sound that was being labelled "progressive trance". Since today there´s too much music sounding the same, Acid Casualties is now a finished chapter. The label is from now on called ACDC and it will continue by releasing "high voltage house music".
